    Itinerary

    Pompeii

Pompeii was a thriving Roman town with a population of around 20,000 people at the time of the eruption. The city boasted an intricate network of streets, houses, shops, temples, and public buildings.

These structures provided valuable insights into the daily life, architecture, and social customs of the ancient Roman world.

One of the most captivating aspects of Pompeii’s remains is the remarkable preservation of its architecture and artifacts.

The volcanic ash that buried the city served as a protective layer, which helped to conserve many buildings and objects that would have otherwise decayed over time.

    Naples

Naples, situated in the southern part of Italy, is a city of contrasts that combines ancient history, vibrant street life, stunning natural beauty, and a rich cultural heritage. With its historical significance, bustling atmosphere, and culinary delights, Naples is a city that captures the hearts of both locals and visitors.

Naples has a history that spans over two millennia. Founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC, it has been a melting pot of cultures and civilizations.

This history is evident in its architecture, archaeological sites, and the layers of time that shape its identity.

The city is close to several important archaeological sites, most notably Pompeii and Herculaneum. These ancient Roman cities were famously preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, providing a window into daily life during the Roman Empire.

    National Archeological Museum

The National Archeological Museum of Naples is considered the most important in the word regarding the Roman era and even the third most importat regarding the Egyptian era.

The museum was founded in 1816 by King Ferdinand IV and official declared National Museum after the unification of Italy in 1861. Ever since it has constantly grown, collecting archeological finds from all over the world but of course prioritizing those in the surrounding sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum and Pozzuoli.

Tha many halls of the Museum offer an astounding variety of different king of finds, such as paintings, frescos, mosaics, statues, vases, weapons and armorms, old working tools and manuscripts

The building is ubicated in a central area very well connected to the rest of the city, so that after the visit is very comfortable to enjoy annything else that the great city of aple has to offer.
