    Itinerary

    Pompeii

It’s almost ironic that thanks to an event as devastating as the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, today we have the opportunity to visit one of the most fascinating places in the world.

Once in Pompeii you really get the feeling of being transported back almost two millennia in history, the city has been almost perfectly preserved by the layers of crystallized ash left over from Vesuvius, to the point where you can even see the casts of the citizens of Pompeii frozen in the time in the last moments of their lives

The numerous frescoes, most of which are still very well preserved, will gradually tell you the story of this ancient city, you will learn the way of life of the people who lived there, you will know the names and life of the famous inhabitants of the city, you will see with your eyes what were the customs, virtues and vices of a community that on the fateful day August 24, 79 AD, met their end with the eruption of Vesuvius, which with very few warnings wiped out the population of this lively and flourishing city.

    amalfi

It is just one of its fourteen towns, but it has such an historical relevance that it gave the name to the entire coast.

This is Amalfi, known as one of the four ancient “Maritime Republics”, together with Pisa, Genova and Venice, called this way because they were the most important ports in Italy for the commercial routes with the east. The white houses separated from each other by narrow alleys and archways form a welcoming, charming little town where you can embrace the history and the traditions of a place that for many years has been considered the source of wealth of the Italian territory.

Once at the main square the Duomo of Sant’Andrea will simply leave you speechless, with its moorish inspired belltower and its incredible staircase at the top of which you will marvel at view of the square and truly feel the grandeur of this ancient town.

    positano

One of the most popular vacation spots in Italy, Positano is undoubtedly one of the most romantic spots you’ll see on your tour.

Also called the vertical city due to the fact that it was completely built on the mountain cliff, Positano was born as a fishing village but soon after its foundation it began to attract artists, writers and musicians. Since the 1950s, Positano has become a lively tourist resort that never ceases to fascinate thanks to its bright pastel colours, beautiful shops and boutiques, luxurious hotels and restaurants and, most importantly, splendid views. From the wonderful beach of Positano you can bask in the sun admiring the Li Galli Islands, a small archipelago of three islands where, according to Greek mythology, sirens live and where even the Russian dancer Rudolf Nureyev decided to spend the last year of his life.

Positano is simply a little jewel, a place of such charm that it will leave you with memories that you will keep forever.
